Band Of Strangers

Band Of Strangers

Band of Strangers is a programme where secondary school students years 11, 12 and 13 have the opportunity to get up on stage and play  in a band with established and iconic NZ musicians. Play It Strange Trust saw this concept as “a great way to put the spotlight on emerging, top musical talent in Auckland schools. To have the opportunity to play on stage like this in front of peers, teachers, friends and family is a priceless experience”.
Band of Strangers is a concept of Neil Finn and Brent Eccles who held Band Of Strangers concerts in 2000. The Play It Strange Trust saw this concept as “a great way to put the spotlight on emerging, top musical talent in   schools  and achieves one of the aims of the trust.
