The 2012 Matariki festivities are underway and the Matariki Songwriting Competition CD of the Top 10
is being listened to by the masses.

Winner Petra Bullock has performed her song ‘Scarlet’ at the Festival programme launch at Mangere Arts Centre.
She has also performed at Whakapuawai 2012 at the Auckland University Business
School. Finalist Ashley Tipene performed ‘Love Boat’ also – post speeches and kai.
Petra has perfomed at the Wakapurei launch of theatre and arts at the Basement Theatre while
Ashley took to the stage at Mean Matariki Mean at the Corbans Arts Centre. Mariah McGregor also performed
‘Seasons of Change’ to an enthusiastic audience.
